Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how eBacktesting.com ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our service.

 

Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data required to provide our backtesting service. The types of data we store include:

a. User Identification

  • A unique, anonymized userId (e.g., a830f99a-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx) is generated and stored for backend session management.

b. Session and Trade Data

  • Sessions you create, including:

    • Start date

    • Balance and currency

    • Your journal entries, notes, risk settings, and trade simulations

  • Trade-level data:

    • Entry/exit time and price

    • Stop Loss, Take Profit, Break-Even settings

    • Custom columns (e.g., tags, screenshots, reflections)

c. Settings and Preferences

  • Saved chart settings (if enabled)

  • Session columns (custom journaling structure)

  • User toggles such as “save chart on exit” or “predefined stop times”

 

What We Don’t Collect

  • We do not collect your TradingView login, password, or email.

  • We do not access your real TradingView data beyond what's visible inside the embedded chart interface.

  • We do not track your IP address or geolocation.

All TradingView interactions happen inside your own browser environment. We interact only with the frontend APIs that TradingView exposes while in Replay Mode.

 

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and improve the eBacktesting service

  • Load and persist your sessions and trades

  • Allow you to review past trades and journaling data

  • Support your preferences and session layout

We may also use anonymized data for statistical or technical debugging purposes.

 

Data Storage & Security

Your data is securely stored in our backend systems via authenticated API calls.
We use standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse of your data.

We do not share, sell, or rent your data to third parties.

 

Data Retention

We store your sessions and associated data until:

  • You delete them manually, or

  • You request account deletion (see below)

After deletion, we retain the data for a short period for backup integrity, after which it is permanently purged.

 

Cookies & Tracking

We do not use cookies or third-party trackers.
Any local caching (e.g., interface state) happens only in localStorage and is cleared regularly or when sessions change.

 

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a full export of your session data

  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data

  • Modify or delete individual sessions or trades at any time

We may revise this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above and notify you via the website.
